Do you know which food has negative calorie?

How is that possible ?

Negative calorie here means that these type of food costs the body more calorie in its digestion process rather than what it is getting from the food itself. Interesting isn’t it.

For example : a portion of fresh fruit gives you 200g calories, but 100g of it are burnt during the process to digest it, leaving 100g of calorie left. But a portion of broccoli only gives you 60g of calorie while it takes the body to burn 100g of calorie to digest it. So the broccoli is actually a negative calorie food. Many vegetables, fruits, and beans, are foods with negative calorie. Onion, cabbage, lettuce, tomato, apple, orange, pineapple, cranberry, gooseberry, etc.

Eating foods with negative calorie is believed to reduce weight faster than taking regular diet. This statement is hard to prove but at least the concept of negative calorie is completely make sense to me.

If you wish to reduce your weight aside from those negative calorie foods, to help the body metabolism, oxygen consumption must also be increased by doing exercise, aerobics, jogging, or any other physical sports.

Green beans help reducing blood glucose

Research shows that green beans contain 2 substances called cytosterol and stigmasterol. Both of those can boost the amount of insulin in our body. Insulin is a hormone produced naturally by our body by an organ named pancreas. Insulin works to reduce glucose level in blood. Mellitus diabetes is a condition whereby one’s pancreas does not produce enough insulin or incapable to produce insulin at all.

Green beans are widely available and not expensive to buy. To serve this insulin boosting purpose it must be eaten with limited processing like simply boiling it or putting it in soup. Any form of processing with oil is not recommended as it causes cholesterol to interfere.

Rule of thumb : Don’t take more than 3 tablespoons of sugar a day if you don’t regularly do tiring physical activity or exercise

If you often experience :

- Excessive thirst

- Frequent drowsiness and weak feeling

- Getting tired very quickly

- Slow healing wound

- Sight issue

then you need to find out how is your blood glucose level, because those all are symptoms of diabetes.

High glucose level is related to your diet and physical activity. If not properly treated, diabetes may lead to other problem or complication, such as hypertension and high cholesterol.

Doing sports regularly will reduce the risk of getting diabetes. Don’t forget to balance your diet, eat less fatty food, less salty food, eat more fruit.

Are you really that sick ?

If you feel dizzy, start coughing, sneezing or got a little bit of fever, don’t immediately take medication.

In many cases this kind of symptom will vanish by itself within 2-3 days. Taking medication too early is not good for your body. Our body has its self healing capability.

Just take enough rest, the symptoms will disappear by its own. Dizziness can even sometimes healed by just breathing fresh air in the park.

Don’t ever think taking medication is not a big deal, the habit of taking medication too early may give unwanted side impact to our body in the long run.

Drinking Water - an Inexpensive Investment for Your Health

Still remember that we need to drink ENOUGH water, about 8 glass a day or 2 – 2.5 liters in order to stay healthy? A smoker perhaps needs to drink a little bit more than that suggestion. This article will tell you more about that.

There are 2 organs in our body that consist of higher than 80% liquid substance, they are blood and brain. Both play paramount role to keep our body properly functioning.

Body discharges liquid by various means like urination, sweating, breathing, etc. Therefore body continuously needs to replace its liquid. But what happens if you happen to intake less water than your body requires?

The answer is, taking it from what the organs have. First organ to be levied is blood which is 95% built on liquid. This results in blood thickening and this makes it harder to flow. Kidney has to work extra to filter the thickened blood, imagine the delicate kidney filters being forced to filter the thickened blood. In long run it causes damage on the kidney filter that symptoms with reddish urine color. Permanent damage means routine dialysis is required.

Now we look at how thickened blood punishes the brain. Brain requires the most food and oxygen which are feed by blood that passes it. Prolonged constrained and slower blood flow in the brain may cause shorter life of brain cells because the oxygen and food it needs do not reach timely.

Now you have learned more how the ‘inexpensive investment’ of drinking water can help preventing some of the most terrible health disorders.

Get More energy and Fight Tension with Qigong breathing

“ Qigong (or ch'i kung) refers to a wide variety of traditional cultivation practices that involve methods of accumulating, circulating, and working with qi or energy within the body.

The qi in qigong means air in Chinese, and, by extension, life force, dynamic energy or even cosmic breath. Gong means work applied to a discipline or the resultant level of skill, so qigong is thus breath work or energy work. “

Qigong can help practitioners to learn diaphragmatic breathing, an important component of the relaxation response, which is important in combating stress.

You can easily practice Qigong breathing by breathing in air into the stomach (abdomen) through the nose until it expands out like a balloon. Then hold the breath in for a moment, and then breathe out the air slowly through the nose and not through the mouth. Repeat this breathing exercise for 10 times or practice it for about 5 minutes. Relax your face and mind, concentrate on your breathing. This way it helps to increase your energy and reduce tension.

Breathing Therapy for Headache and Exhaustion

Our noses have left and right nostrils. Are these nostrils having the same function for inhaling (breathe in) and exhaling (breathe out)? Actually it's not the same, according to an ancient Chinese belief, the right side represents the sun and the left side represents the moon.

When having headache, try to close your right nostril and use your left nostril to do breathing for about 5 min. The headache will go.

If you feel very tired, do it the opposite way. Close your left nostril and breathe through your right nostril. After a while, you will feel refreshed.

Because the right side belongs to heat, it gets hot easily. In the other hand, the left side gets cold easily.

Women breathe mainly with their left nostril, so they get calm down easily. Men breathe mostly with their right nostril, so they get angry easily.

You can teach your kids about it but the effect of breathing therapy is much more for adults.

The person originally wrote this used to have painful headache. He used to have headache every night. He tried taking medication but it the ache just kept One night he sat down to meditate, he closed his right nostril and breathed with his left nostril. In less than a week, it seemed that his headache problem had left him! He continued doing it for about a month and since then there was no headache recurrence.

This is his own experience. Now he tells others who also suffer headache to try this method. This is a natural therapy, unlike taking medicines which may have side effect in the long run. So, why don't you give it a try.

Practice the correct ways of breathing (breathe in and breathe out) and your body will be relaxed.
